NIBBLE FOOD DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS
Sometimes some of the food we deliver needs heating or prepping at home. Here’s now…
nibble food delivery instructions
Pancake Box
Heat your pancakes in the microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute until hot all the way through.
Heat your chocolate sauce in the microwave for between 15 and 30 seconds, being careful not to overheat.
The rest of your pancake toppings can be eaten cold.
Top your pancakes with the toppings as you wish and don’t forget to share with us on social media!
Afternoon Tea Box
All your savoury ingredients are for you to make your afternoon tea sandwiches with. You can make these up as you wish or follow our little plan…
Pair the smoked salmon and beetroot and dill cream cheese in one sandwich.
And pair the beetroot bhajis, curried hummus and spiced chickpeas in the other. You can heat the bhajis in a hot oven for five to ten minutes if you’d like to soften them up, or shred into smaller pieces to spread amongst the sandwiches.
If you got the vegan version, you’ve got pea and watercress guacamole and red cabbage slaw instead of the salmon and cream cheese, so this is your other choice.
Your cakes should all be eaten cold, but you can heat your scones by microwaving for 30 seconds.
Chocolate Bread and Butter Pudding
You’ll have received your chocolate custard in a vacuum packed pouch. Cut this open and spoon or squeeze your custard on to your bread and butter pudding in a bowl. Pop this in the microwave for 45 seconds, check it’s piping hot, and pop it back in for another 15 seconds at a time until it is. Then, dig in and enjoy the chocolatey goodness!
Keep the custard in the fridge until you’re ready to eat it.
Christmas Morning Brunch Hamper
We recommend eating these as a big breakfast
These items will last for four days from delivery, so make sure you eat everything when it’s at it’s best. You’ll have until Boxing Day!
To heat your sausages, cook them in the oven or fry until fully cooked and piping hot.
To heat your beans, decant from their pouch into a microwaveable container and heat for two minutes. Check that they’re piping hot and heat for another 30 seconds at a time if they need it.
You can eat your pancakes cold, but they’re also good heated in the microwave for 30 seconds too.
Your berry compote and amaretto mascarpone are to have cold, as is the pea and watercress guacamole!
Family Sized Christmas Puddings
Stand puddings on a plate in a deep saucepan.
Pour boiling water into the pan until it reaches half way up the pudding.
Cover the pan, and steam on a low to medium heat for around two hours, checking the water level regularly, topping up if necessary so that it stays half way up the pudding basin at all times.
Once done, remove all the packaging and turn the pudding upside down onto a plate larger than the pudding, and give the basin a little tap to help unmould it. Remove the basin. Be careful as it will be hot!
To flame the pudding, you need to get a ladle of brandy, whisky or rum, really hot.
Either hold over a gas flame, or heat in a small saucepan and transfer into the ladle.
Light the spirit by tilting the ladle slightly over the gas flame so that the fumes ignite, or use a match and immediately pour it over the pudding and watch the flames! But please be careful!!
